Connie Yancey has been director of Raceway Ministries Atlanta for the past 15 years. During that time, she has excelled in recruiting, training and organizing ministry team members to center the ministry to fans around 14 effective ministry activities from four ministry hubs across Atlanta Motor Speedway property during NASCAR events. She also has led the team to develop essential criteria for ministry activities, creating a filter through which every idea is sifted to make sure all activities result in building relationships with non-Christian folks. The desire is create opportunities for conversations about Christ with the people they meet. In addition, excellent relationships have been developed with the staff at AMS over the years, providing ministry opportunity to them, as well. In addition to ministry to NASCAR fans, the Raceway Ministries Atlanta team provides outreach at non-racing events, too. Connie and her son, Elliott, also serve as track chaplains for Atlanta Motor Speedway. In this podcast episode, all these topics and more emerge as National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries director Roger Marsh interviews Connie.
