In this episode of “Raceway Ministries Today,” National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries director Roger Marsh interviews Ron Lasley, of Kentucky. In the conversation, Ron tells how his walk with Christ began, and then elaborates on his life of racing, hot rodding, and preaching. Ron raced at Louisville Motor Speedway, Kentucky Motor Speedway, Salem Speedway and many others through the years, all the while providing ministry and chaplain work for speedway staff, racers and fans. Eventually, Ron was instrumental in beginning Raceway Ministries work at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta as that venue was built and began seeing action. Ron also served a director of weekly / local racing ministry for the National Fellowship of Raceway Ministries for several years. Ron now serves as pastor, with wife Barbara alongside him, at the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky. Throughout the interview with Ron, he shares lots of insights and wisdom about effective ministry to racers and the racing community. He truly is a “Racer, Rodder and Reverend!”
